About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for replacing X-ray screening systems at the Government Publishing Office (GPO). The project involves procuring and installing six X-ray units across multiple locations in Washington, DC, and Stennis, Mississippi, including entry points, mail rooms, and screening areas. The units are specified for different purposes: five units for DC locations (Posts 10, 11, 22, 41, 35), one for the DC Mail Room, two for main entrance screenings, one for the loading dock, and designed with specific requirements such as high reliability, local image storing, self-diagnostics, and varied tunnel dimensions.
The total maximum award is $593,532.20, with a 30-day period for request for bids and installation after contract award. The SOW details technical specifications for each X-ray unit, including dimensions, power requirements, conveyor specifications, and performance characteristics. GPO will provide escort, access to utilities, workspace, and visitor badges, while the contractor is responsible for installation, testing, training, and parking costs. The security classification is UNCLASSIFIED, and the project aims to enhance security operations by replacing outdated X-ray equipment with modern, more efficient screening technology.
