About this file
This is a Scope of Work document for a landslide remediation project located at the Wycliffe Morgan property in Kentucky, accessible via the Hal Rogers Parkway and Route 421 near Stinnett Elementary School. The project involves excavation and stabilization work across two identified slide areas, with work to strip material down to rock with maximum 2:1 slope transitions as directed by the engineer. The transition area between Slide Area 1 and Slide Area 2 requires excavation to stable configuration with final grades at 2:1 slopes maximum. All excavated material must be transported to a designated waste area, and final grading at both slide areas, the transition area, and waste area are considered incidental to earthwork efforts.
Payment for earthwork is based on compacted embankment yardage measured at waste areas through before and after field run surveys. The contractor should note that estimated yardages are derived from lidar mapping, drone flights, and reconnaissance field walks, but no geotechnical exploration work has been performed, meaning actual depths to bedrock are unknown and subject to field conditions during construction.

From the Hal Rogers Parkway take the Hyden Exit. Travel approximately 3.5 miles on Route 118. Turn left at the
T-intersection onto Route 421. Travel approximately 9.5 miles, then turn right onto Honeysuckle Lane (the first right just past the Stinnett Elementary School). Travel approximately 0.8 miles to the Wycliffe Morgan home.
Slide Areas 1 and 2 are Strip to Rock with side transitions at a 2:1 max as directed by the ENGINEER. The Transition Area between
Slide Area 1 & 2 will have material excavated down to a stable configuration with the final grade at 2:1 slopes max. as directed by the ENGINEER. The CONTRACTOR is advised estimated yardages shown, are based lidar mapping, drone flights, and reconnaissance field walks, but NO GEOTECH exploration work has been performed;
actual depths to bedrock are unknown. All excavated material will be transported to the waste area. Payment for all earthwork
(measured) is based on compacted embankment yardage and will be measured at the waste areas by before and after field run survey only. Final gradework at Slide 1, 2 Transition Area and Waste Area will be considered incidental to Earthwork efforts
