| Q1. | Will we be allowed to run sweep tests with a site master on both sites? |
| A1. | Yes |
| Q2. | DC Site - There was some discussion at the site visit about a more compact version of the Motorola equipment. If that is the case is there a new part number for that or are we to bid what is in the RFP? |
| A2. | No change in the radio requirements. Install as requested in the SOW |
| Q3. | DC Site - Please clarify how you folks would like the 7/8” coax thru 4” conduit with existing quantity of 4 RG213 cables. |
| A3. | FEMA will leave the determination of how to safely pull in the new cable without damaging existing cable to the Contractor, with the approval of the COR and TM. |
| Q4. | Please clarify if a new 4" conduit must be installed to accommodate the new FEMA 7/8" coax cables. It was found during the site walk that there was an open 4" conduit available. |
| A4. | The CG POC approved using the existing conduit. |
| Q5. | The site, including the tower and dispatch center, are not currently to R56 standards. Please verify the extent to which the contractor should go to bring it up to R56 spec. |
| A5. | Any and all LMR equipment including antennas, feed lines and radios shall be installed to R56 grounding and bonding standards along with meeting the CG standards. |
| Q6. | It was noted that a new ground rod could be installed to DOD standards, can the standard please be provided? |
| A6. | These standards will be provided as attachments to the Amendments. (Grounding and Bonding Checks & MIL-HDBK-419A_vol1 |
| Q7. | Will the site provide necessary locates for any work requiring digging or ground rod placement? |
| A7. | Yes if needed. There should not be any digging required and the Coast Guard POC indicated at the walkthrough there will not be any issue with driving a ground rod at the base of the tower. |
