About this file
This is a Scope of Work for Purchase Order 476837 issued by Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL), managed by Brookhaven Science Associates for the U.S. Department of Energy.
The procurement requires a helium leak detector unit with dual detection capabilities in both vacuum and sniffing modes. The detector must achieve a minimum detectable leak rate of 1x10⁻¹² mbar/l/s in vacuum mode and 1x10⁻⁷ mbar/l/s in sniffing mode. Technical specifications include a maximum power consumption of 400W, maximum allowable inlet pressure of at least 15mbar, startup time not exceeding 2 minutes, and a roughing capacity of at least 1.7m³/hr. The unit must feature a 25KF inlet port and not exceed dimensions of 360mm x 260mm x 420mm. The vendor is responsible for providing adequate packaging to prevent damage during shipment, while BNL will cover shipping costs between the vendor and the laboratory. Charles Hetzel is identified as the BNL Technical Representative for this procurement.
