About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Construction Bid for the 2023 Mackinac Island Painting Projects, Bid File Number 751/23189.AGY, issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) State Facilities Administration Design and Construction Division. The Addendum provides clarifications and answers to questions raised during the pre-bid walk-through meeting held on April 11, 2023. Key details include no scaffolding on the road-facing walls of the Geary House, work hours of 8am to 5pm, and restrictions on the use of power tools. The Addendum also addresses questions related to housing accommodations, storage of equipment and materials, lead paint concerns, and the treatment of light fixtures, shutters, and address plaques. It provides specific guidance on the Geary House, including the use of ladders, storage in the small shed, and painting of the lattice on the garbage catcher.

The related state and local contract opportunity involves the 2023 Mackinac Island Painting Projects, with the bid opening scheduled for April 26, 2026. The contract will be administered by the DTMB, and the project locations are within Mackinac County and the City of Mackinac Island, Michigan. Bidders are instructed to submit questions via email to the project contact, Myron Johnson, rather than through the SIGMA VSS system. Bid attachments must be uploaded to SIGMA VSS, and emailed proposals may be accepted on a case-by-case basis with prior approval.
