About this file
This is a specifications document for air-driven seeder and fertilizer applicator equipment required by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) Wildlife Resources division. The procurement calls for three units configured as either pull-behind or bed-mounted attachments compatible with Polaris Ranger XP 1000 and CanAm Defender HD UTVs. Each unit must feature a 12-volt electric or minimum 9-horsepower gas-powered fan engine, hoppers ranging from 10 to 18 cubic feet depending on configuration, adjustable booms up to 24 feet wide with 8 to 16 dispersion plates, electronic rate controllers with GPS/altimeter capability, and integrated monitoring sensors for fan pressure and seed levels. Pull-behind units cannot exceed 1,500 pounds with maximum dimensions of 72 inches height by 82 inches width by 103 inches length, while bed-mounted units are limited to 350 pounds with maximum dimensions of 44 inches height by 32 inches width by 46 inches length. In-state vendors will have units picked up by IDNR staff at their location, while out-of-state vendors must ship equipment to the Gibson City, Illinois IDNR field office.
The specifications document does not include pricing terms, bid submission deadlines, pre-bid conference information, contract award dates, contract term details, insurance requirements, prevailing wage provisions, or other standard procurement terms. The document focuses exclusively on the technical requirements and physical specifications necessary for vendors to develop compliant equipment proposals. Potential bidders should reference the associated Request for Quote documentation for complete procurement details including pricing structure, submission procedures, evaluation criteria, and contract administration requirements.
