About this file
This is a comprehensive project manual and bid document for the Warren Consolidated Schools District-Wide Filter First Project, involving multiple school facilities in Warren, Michigan. The project seeks a single prime contractor to remove and replace non-filtered drinking water stations and fixtures with new filtered water stations compliant with the Clean Drinking Water Access Act 154 of 2023. The bid is scheduled for opening on October 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with an optional pre-bid meeting on October 2, 2025. The project is required to be completed by June 30, 2026, and covers 22 school buildings across the district, including elementary, middle, and high schools. The total project scope involves installing filtered water stations and associated plumbing and electrical work.
The project is funded through the district's capital improvement budget and will be competitively bid with several key requirements, including a 5% bid security, prevailing wage compliance, and specific technical specifications for water filtration installations. Bidders must submit detailed documentation, including familial relationship disclosures and Iran Economic Sanctions Act compliance statements. The estimated project budget is not explicitly stated, but the comprehensive nature of the district-wide installation suggests a significant capital investment. Contractors will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, and the project includes provisions for unit pricing, allowances for additional work, and specific technical requirements for water filtration system installations.
