About this file
The document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) from Volusia County's Community Assistance Division seeking proposals from non-profit organizations, cities, and schools to provide water safety education and survival swim lessons for youth. The RFP #25-P-38MC was released on January 16, 2025, with questions due by February 28, 2025, and proposal submissions required by March 5, 2025 at 3:01 pm. The contract will run through September 30, 2025, with potential for four subsequent one-year renewals. The total funding available is $60,000, with the county potentially awarding funding to multiple agencies. Applicants must ensure scholarship recipients are at or below 200% of federal poverty guidelines and demonstrate the ability to cover monthly expenses prior to reimbursement. Providers must have certified swim instructors with at least one year of experience and will be required to track and report program goals, objectives, and outcomes. Insurance requirements include Commercial General Liability coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and Professional Liability insurance of $1,000,000 for Swim Instructor Errors and Omissions.
