About this file

This document contains water line sizing calculations for 4-inch and 6-inch lines to support a federal contract opportunity to pave roads and repair water and stormwater utilities at Fort Bayard National Cemetery in New Mexico. The calculations analyze flow rates of 200 and 400 gallons per minute through 4-inch and 6-inch pipes with fittings including 90-degree bends, check valves, gate valves, inline filters and tees. Residual pressures of 47 psi and 84.6 psi are determined for 4-inch and 6-inch lines respectively with static head conditions of 54 feet and a water tank elevation of 6236 feet. The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number 36C78622B0002 from the Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration to pave roads with an option to repair water and stormwater utilities at Fort Bayard National Cemetery.
