About this file
This document is a Professional Services Agreement between the County of Tuolumne, California and an unspecified architectural consultant for the Washington Street Historic Courthouse Remodel Project (Contract #2022-003). The project involves developing architectural plans and specifications for remodeling the historic courthouse located at 60 Washington Street in Sonora, utilizing floor plans from a previous feasibility study. The architectural services will encompass design development, construction documents, bidding assistance, construction administration, and post-construction documentation. The agreement allows for potential one-year extensions and outlines a multi-phase project timeline including design, agency review, bidding, and construction administration, with specific durations for each phase left unspecified.
The compensation structure is based on hourly rates with a not-to-exceed total amount, though the exact dollar figure is not completed in the document. The consultant is prohibited from bidding on the actual construction work and must work closely with the County's Construction Manager. The agreement includes comprehensive insurance requirements, with the consultant required to maintain multiple types of insurance including professional liability, commercial general liability, automobile liability, and workers' compensation. Funding for the project is subject to annual county budget appropriations, meaning the agreement can be terminated if sufficient funds are not allocated. The contract emphasizes the consultant's independent contractor status and includes detailed provisions for termination, dispute resolution, and compliance with applicable laws.
