Request For Information (Cont:
): 11. Sheet AD-101 does not show the CMU wall to be demoed between office 121 and 122, however, sheet does show a new wall type D at this same location. Please clarify?

12. Keynote 12 on sheet AD-101 calls for removal of ACM Caulking around window. Is this note intended for all windows on building? If existing window units are to remain what is the point of removing the ACM caulking? Please note that without removing the window unit in its entirety it will not be possible to ensure that all ACM caulking is removed. Knowing that this project has been bid multiple times and was not awarded due to budget constraints we highly suggest removing this expensive requirement.

13. IF ACM window caulking is removed at all windows shall new joint sealant be installed in its place? Does this apply to all windows on entire building?

14. Sheet AD-201 Keynote 4 appears to be missing on walls within rooms 212, 213,214, 215, 218,219,220, 231,225,227,224. It is apparent by looking at the new work on sheet A-102 that these walls will need to be removed. Suggest adding Keynote 4 in the areas mentioned. Please be aware most demolition contractors will not look at new work sheets and that ambiguity is the responsibility of the drafter of the documents.

15. On Sheet AD-201 Keynote 9 indicates demolition of suspended grid and ceiling tiles, However this note appears to be missing in the majority of the 2nd floor. Per new work plans most of these areas are scheduled to receive new grid ceilings and tiles. Rooms 212-234 seem like they should have a keynote 9 with the exception of the Janitors closets, Stairwells and Latrines.

16. Do all removed light fixtures need to have the lamps and ballasts removed and properly disposed of?

17. Key note 5 appears on sheet AD-201 indicating removal of Asbestos Floor tile and mastic and base. Key note has an arrow leader pointing to several walls. Do these walls have Acm floor tile adhered to them?

18. Are rubber stair treads intended to be removed from Stair wells in their entirety? Please note that no indication of this demolition is give on 2nd floor demo sheet AD-201.

19. Please calrify extent of Grid and ceiling tile demo on 3rd floor. Keynote 5 on sheet AD-301 appears in very few locations and has arrow leader pointing at walls. Sheet A-103 shows new Grid and tile ceiling in nearly the entire 3rd floor. Please clarify.

Response (Cont:
): 11. The existing CMU wall is to remain. Sheet A-101 shows a type B infill where the door and frame are to be removed.

12. Agree, keynote 12 is now removed from the drawing.

13. No ACM window caulking is to be removed. Therefore no new joint sealant is required.

14. Sheet AD-201 new shows keynote 4 in rooms 212, 213,214, 215, 218,219,220, 225,227 and 224. Note that room 231 is male latrine, and no demo work is to occur in this room. In addition, keynotes 5 and 9 are now shown in rooms 212, 213, 214. 215, 216, 217, 218, 219, 220, 222, 223, 224, 225, 226, and 227.

15. Keynote 9 is now shown in rooms 212, 213, 214. 215, 216, 217, 218, 219, 220, 222, 223, 224, 225, 226, 227, 232, and 234.

16. Yes

17. These walls do not contain ACM. The Sheet AD-201 has been revised to show keynote 4 at these walls.

18. The existing rubber stair treads are to be removed from the stairwells in their entirety. Keynote 8 is now shown at the stairwells.

19. Keynote 5 has been added to rooms 300, 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309, 311, 312, 313, 314, 316, 317, 318, 319, 321, 322, 323, 324, 325, 326, 327, 328, 329, 330, 335, 336, and 337.
