About this file

This document is a detailed Q&A file for a kitchen equipment procurement for the Texas National Guard at Camp Maxey Training Site. The solicitation (W92QA2KitchenEquipment) requires the procurement and installation of multiple commercial kitchen equipment items, including a stovetop/griddle/oven combo, refrigerators, freezers, steam kettle, commercial dispenser, and other specialized equipment. The delivery and installation site is 6351 US HWY 271 N in Powderly, TX, with a not-later-than (NLT) date of 01 MAY 2025. The contract will be awarded based on price, installation time, and customer specifications, with an installation requirement within 3 months of contract award.

Key technical details include specific equipment requirements such as a double-deck oven with glass doors, standard configuration, a steam kettle with 2/3 jacket and 3" tangent draw-off valve, and various voltage and utility connection specifications. The government is seeking contractors to provide an option for equipment removal, and potential vendors must carefully review the attached specifications. The procurement is being conducted by the Department of the Army National Guard, with the expectation that contractors will provide precise quotes matching the detailed technical requirements outlined in the Q&A document.

Text version

Does the requirement refer to one unit of each piece of equipment listed in the attachment, or are multiple units of certain items required?

One Unit per requested equipment Are kitchen measurements, floor plans, or diagrams available, including the location of all outlets, utility connections, and other installation specifications?

The floorplan is attached – I do not know the location of the outlets, however most of the pieces are replacing an existing similar piece, so it will have an outlet in place.

All existing equipment has necessary outlets in place except stovetop, griddle and oven combo. This existing piece of equipment does not require electricity for igniters however, I expect the new one will. State Maintenance can get electricity to this new piece of equipment.

Existing equipment dimensions are below.

Stovetop, griddle, oven combo: 60”x36” Double door refrigerator: 69”x35”x85” Double door refrigerator: 52”x35”x85” Single door freezer: 27”x35”x85” Should the removal of all existing kitchen equipment be included as part of the requirement?

If necessary, State Maintenance can assist with removal existing equipment. However, I can not facilitate disposal. Contractor can add an option for removal priced separately.

Can you confirm whether the delivery and installation site is at: 6351 US HWY 271 N, Powderly, TX 75460?

Yes, the delivery and installation site is the address above, Building 5.

For all the electrical equipment, what voltage are you needing?

This should be standard 120V

Should all items be powered by gas or electricity? Griddle and kettle require electricity.

The oven, stovetop and griddle are all one unit currently and are natural gas operated.

The oven asks for gas and electricity, which one is needed? Range asks for gas.

The oven utilizes natural gas for heating purposes. Electricity is used for the igniters.

There are also some units where you want us to quote the stands, which we can do, however there are multiple stand options.

A stand with shelving and doors

For the Steam Kettle

1. Do you want a 2/3 Jacket or Full Jacket?

2/3

1. Do you want it with a Tangent Draw-Off Valve? If so, 2” or 3” 3

1. Do you want a Pan Carrier?

Yes

1. Do you want it with a faucet?

Yes

· If so, what size? 12” or 18” 12inch

· Single or Double Swing Spout? Single

· Do you want it with a spray hose? yes

1. Do you want it with a cover? No

· Spring or Lift off?

· I have no knowledge of this need or requirement. Go with Vendor recommendation based on SME.

0003 Commercial grade dispenser, do you need contractor to provide agitator, spray tube or other?

Agitator only

0004 Oven needs single or double deck model?

Double Deck

0007 Is this for a glass or solid door?

Glass

0008 Does this need to be convection or standard oven?

Standard

Item 9 – I need more clarification on what unit this is. The spec is asking for 7” cooled well. Nobody makes wells that can hold pans deeper than 6”, but if they need something that deep, that is a refrigerated sandwich prep table. The spec also asks for a sneeze guard – is this unit self-serve buffet style or are they planning to use this like a Subway style unit where the customer can see the ingredients but can’t get it themselves?

Seems like I am receiving quotes, you can provide an equal product for this.
