About this file
This document provides questions and answers regarding a solicitation for rental/lease of diesel generators at multiple locations. The solicitation seeks proposals for portable 30KW and 55KW diesel generators to power containers for office space at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center locations. The generators will operate approximately 40 hours per week from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM EST Monday through Friday. The government will provide fuel and refueling of the generators. Proposals are due by 4 May 2022 through SAM.gov and via email, with anticipated award of a one-year base period and three one-year options. Cables of 20-30 feet in length will connect single-phase 120/240V generators to containers, with no additional fittings, transformers, or shore power required.

W91YTZ22Q0054 Contractor Questions with Government Responses
The purpose of this amendment is to provide Questions and Answers for Request for Quote
W91YTZ22Q0054.
Question: Will there be site visits?
Government Response: There are no planned site visits for this RFQ.
Question 2: Dimensions of the Generator. The contract states that "Vendor must set up and connect the generators to the containers (100amp, 240v, single-phase electrical panels)." These were the only parameters I could find for how big you want these generators to be, and some further clarification would be appreciated (exact wattage wanted, dimensions the generator should be, etc.).
Government Response: 30KW – 91 inches in length, 46 inches in width, 67 inches in height and 55KW – 105.9 inches in length, 37.4 inches width, 76.4 inches in height. Both are portable meaning mounted on a trailer. See the revised Statement of Work for details on locations.
Question 3: Throughout the contract, it's stated that shore power may be used, so I assume this means these generators will be meant for standby use. Is that the case, and if not please elaborate?
Government Response: The generators will be used to power the containers. No shore power.
Question 4: Will the Generators be used as STANDBY/BACKUP power only?
Government Response: No, it will be powering the containers 40 hours per week on average
Question 5: IF NOT standby only how many hours a week will the generators be ran?
Government Response: Approximately 40 hours per week. Operation hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM through 4:30 PM EST.
Question 6: Will the government provide the fuel and refueling of each generator at each location during the POP?
Government Response: Yes, the Government provides the fuel and refueling.
Question 7: Approximately how many FEET of cabling will be need at each location?
Government Response: 20-30 feet of cabling at each location.
Question 8: What size fittings/connections will be needed at each location?
Government Response: No fittings/connections, just a regular FDR cable from generator to container.
Question 9: What phase power and VOLTAGE will be needed at each location/each container?
Government Response: Single phase, 120/240 VAC
Question 10: Will transformers be needed at each location?
Government Response: No.
