QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1.QUESTION:

Item number 6 and 7 has specified fiber distribution panels that will not hold splice trays. Can fuse lite connectors and fan out kits (cut sheet A & B) be used instead of item number 8 or can we use fiber cassettes (cut sheet C) instead of CCH connectors panels and pig tails?

ANSWER:

We cannot accept the vendor's product because we have already designed the project with the requested products.

2.QUESTION:

Line 7 has a description to include blank modules, what specific P/N from Corning can they reference for the "Blank Module" if it needs to be included? Line 7 the way described in the solicitation does not have the capability to terminate any fiber in it like line 6 does, line 6 identifies the adapter panels (CCH-CP12-59). Does line 7 also need 2EA of the CCH-CP12-59's included as well? Please confirm the full description or equal part numbers for below:

ANSWER:

We need a blank module to block it and there is no P/N of the blank module and for item 0007, 2EA , CH-CP12-59 should be provided if the vendor supply Corning product.

3.QUESTION:

Item 6, CCH-04U, #1. Do you need CSH-3U : "included cable tray" - do you need Cable Splice Housing as this CSH-3U is option items.

#2. Cable tray Core count - Do you need 12 Core Splicing Tray or 24 Core Splicing Tray.

ANSWER:

#1: I don't need CSH-3U.

#2: N/A

4.QUESTION:

#1. The spec states PE insulated fiber core, all dielectric single HDPE jacket non-armor. PE insulated fiber core is kind of odd as it is defined. We can provide a gel free loose tube cable with an HDPE jacket. Is this acceptable?

#2. Also each of the items state 6 fiber bundle which I interpret as 6 fibers per tube. That is very low for such higher fiber counts. We would do 12 fibers per tube on all of the fiber counts, is that ok?

ANSWER:

#1: Gel free tube is acceptable.

#2: We only need 6 cores per bundle.
