SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE
The following items are applicable to this modification:
CONTINUATION
a. The purpose of this amendment to answer vendor’s questions.
i) Vendor’s question (1) The product quantity described on 'page 5 of the solicitation', on 'page 12-
16' and 'in PPT (Attachment 2)' do not match.
Answer (1) 6ft long desk’ quantity is changed to 63 qty and Pricing schedule and PWS are revised as attached.
ii) Vendor’s questions (2) About specification of '4ft round team table', does 48"Dia mean the diameter is 48 inches which is 121.92cm? I would like to know clear diameter.
Answer (2) Yes, 48"Dia means 48" diameter (121.92 cm).
iii) Vendor’s questions (3) what does the 'Cable Management' mean? Does the cable need to be equipped inside?
Answer (3) Cable Management means racks, hooks, trays, or shelves typically attached to legs or the underside of tabletops designed to hide cables from sight.
iv) Vendor’s questions (4) 1.5 inch(3.81cm) thick seems a bit thicker since average types use 1.5cm thick. It would be great if you could clarify again.
Answer (4) The specification allows a +/- of 0.5 inches. The desks will have heavy equipment placed on them so a 1" minimum is required, thus the specification of 1.5" +/- 0.5".
v) Vendor’s questions (5) 28 inch seems a bit lower for average height, could you specify where the 28 inch applies? like bottom to top or just the pole between.
Answer (5) Our current conference table is 29" at its surface and most desks are 28" at their surface. Conference tables and desks should be between 28" and 30" at the working surface.
vi) Vendor’s questions (6) "A2_Schematics_A4_Office_Reorg_Furniture sets the new furniture in
933" This is the drawing you provided. Is this drawing for new furniture? Do you have drawing of furniture sets currently in use?
Answer (6) All of the furniture going into Bldg 933 is new except as noted for the "CA7" areas and as discussed on the site visit. Salient characteristics of that furniture are provided. No new furniture is to be purchased for use in Bldg 1601. Only existing furniture is to be used and rearranged to provide the required numer of "Work Stations" (the definition and specifications of "Work Station" are in the contract documents) in each room per the contract documents.
vii) Vendor’s questions (7) Can you provide a furniture layout Drawing arrangement from building #933 to building #1601?
Answer (7) We are not specifying what the layout of the furniture in Bldg 1601 must
be. It is up to the contractor to adjust the layout of existing furniture and incorporate furniture from Bldg 933 to provide the required number of "Work Stations" as specified in each office per the contract documents.
viii) Vendor’s questions (8) where do you want to move the furniture currently in use at building #1601?
Answer (8) As stated on the site visit, the furniture in Bldg. 1601 is to be rearranged to p rovide the required number of "Work Stations" per room as specified in the PWS.
b. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
