Good afternoon, An RFI was submitted and answered.

Question: “For the proposal, are we quoting maintenance and repair? Or are we just quoting inspections, certifications, load testing, with repairs to be covered post inspection to meet standards? Or both? We are referencing the PWS in section 1.3 below:

• Repairs will be initiated by issuance of a task order after the COR reviews the post-inspection report and decides which equipment will be repaired. Some minor repairs may be done by Government personnel and some equipment may be determined not economically repairable.

• Perform post-repair inspection of Government repairs to hoists and cranes to ensure equipment now meets OEM standards.”

Answer: IAW the PWS, inspection, load testing (if applicable), and certification is a once-a-year requirement. During inspection, if there are any issues, you are to repair anything under $250 (see para 5.4, 5.4.1, and 5.4.2).

Your preventative maintenance should be part of the inspection (oil, a screw loose, tightening a pulley, etc.). If it exceeds the amount, refer to the paragraphs above for further guidance.

Your quote should only cover the inspection, load testing (if applicable), and certification (which is part of inspection when you certify it).

ALL OTHER RFI’s need to be submitted by COB tomorrow, 7/3 before the holiday. If you need an extension, please make your requests known by Noon tomorrow. The customer will have your questions answered by 1200, Tuesday, 7/9.

Thank you in advance for your immediate attention in this matter.
