Solicitation W91QF422B0002 Vendor Q and A

1. Are floor drains and ancillary piping required to be cleaned and or jetted as part of this contract?

If so, to what extent?

Only if they are an integral part of the oil/water separator itself, or if multiple systems are attached in series, the intervening piping/trenching would require servicing/cleaning.

Specifically, Firestation #2, Both TEMFs, Sabalu Wash Rack, and both R&G wash racks

2. Is the water jetter cleaning at the fire station required every time or only on request?

Every time, as the service frequencies are every other year.

3. Is water available at every site? What is the water pressure? PSI at the hydrants?

Assume that no water will be provided on site.

4. Is a water truck available for cleaning or do we did to provide the truck? This is for bad pits.

No. Contractor provides all equipment and supplies.

5. Building 1156-1157. There are a lot of grates to lift to clean under. Will this be our responsibility or will there be someone else to do that?

This is the responsibility of the contractor.

6. Will someone be available to lift the concrete lids? Will there be someone there while we are cleaning?

Only at the Equipment & Grounds B. 182 facility. This must be coordinated by the Contractor in advance of planned service. COR may assist if there are access issues, but it is ultimately Contractor’s responsibility to coordinate this.

7. What is the average duration to clear inspection for entry and exit of prison entry points?

Average time is less than 15 minutes entry, less than 5 minutes egress. There are exceptions that can significantly increase entry and egress times due to security events out of our control.

Excessive time issues can be mitigated by accessing the facilities only during recommended days/times and outside of Federal Holiday and Training Holiday events.

8. Is all waste assumed to be non-hazardous?

Yes. Previous testing revealed no hazardous waste at any of the sites. Each of these facilities type of use has not changed, and the Government does not anticipate a finding of hazardous waste in the foreseeable future. Previous test results are available upon request.

9. Is historical laboratory analysis available and provided to the contractor for each facilities’ OWS/sump system?

Yes, previous test results are available upon request.

10. If laboratory analysis is not available, will the government fund additional sampling and analysis beyond the specified 5 or complete user knowledge statements if necessary to properly characterize the waste?

Previous laboratory analysis is available upon request.

11. What is the average approval time for the government conducted contract employee background/clearance investigation?

For access to the installation, average time is 5 work days during non-rush times of the year, summers are lengthier, while the prison facility area (MCC) is usually same-day, or less than 2 work days, again, time of day, year can affect this.

12. Please identify the current grease trap contract number, contractor and the value of the current contract?

W91QF4-17-P-0013 awarded 28 MAR 2017 to Reddi Services Inc. for $55,023.00

Yes, See Q1

15. Who will move every piece of equipment in the pits at the facility?

If it is OWS/GT integral, contractor is responsible, if it is facility equipment, it shouldn’t be blocking access to service, if it is, prior coordination for access is required, and contractor responsibility. See Q6 above.

16. Who will move the concrete lid for the oil and grease separator in Building 182 at the Maintenance Shop?

See Q6 above.

17. Are you able to wait for our arrival before removing the concrete lid for the oil and grease separator in Building 182 at the Maintenance Shop?
