About this file

This is a Requirements Remarks Sheet for the Blast Overpressure Sensor System (BOSS) Request for Information (RFI), serving as a template for vendors to address the Government's technical and logistical requirements. The sheet outlines four Key Performance Parameters (KPPs) covering pressure range, sensor accuracy, sensor precision, and blast metric reporting capability. Additionally, it specifies nine Key System Attributes (KSAs) including orientation estimation, sensor time synchronization, interoperability, wireless transmission, memory capacity, sampling rate, recording reliability, data capture automation, and interface control documentation requirements. The form also addresses six Additional Performance Attributes (APAs) related to sensor activation automation, calibration, device reset rate, storage capabilities, data standardization, and warranty provisions.

Vendors must complete this Excel-based remarks sheet as part of their RFI response, clearly indicating whether their proposed solution meets, exceeds, or does not meet each requirement. For any unmet requirements, vendors must provide detailed explanations of shortfalls, alternative capabilities, planned development efforts, or technical approaches to achieve compliance. The document also requires vendors to address Critical Logistic Specifications (CLS) including technical manuals, delivery schedules, Risk Management Framework Authority to Operate (ATO) certification, and copyright release provisions, as well as Additional Performance Parameters (APPs) covering Defense Logistics Agency Electronic Catalog (ECAT) listing, manufacturing capabilities, order quantities, and production schedules. RFI responses are due by 1600 Eastern on September 11, 2026, and must be submitted electronically to the Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground in conjunction with the mandatory Requirement Document attachment.

Remark Sheet Blast Overpressure Sensor System (BOSS)

The Government is conducting market research to identify qualified sources capable of meeting the required Key Performance Parameters (KPPs), Critical Logistic Specifications (CLS), and Additional Performance Peremeter (APP) . Interested vendors shall submit a capability statement that clearly indicates whether their proposed solution meets, exceeds, or does not meet each requirement . For any not met, vendors must explain the reason for the shortfall and provide details on any alternative capabilities, planned development efforts, or technical approaches that could enable them to meet the required performance. Responses should be sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to assess each vendor’s capability, risk, and potential path to full KPP compliance.
