SUMMARY OF CHANGES
SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE
The following have been added by full text:
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
QUESTION 1: It appears as though the sizes provided are in inches only, not feet and inches.
The way they are written, 3084 and 6084, in the door industry, translates to 3'-0" x 8'-4" and 6'- 0" x 8'-4". Looking at the pictures however, you can clearly see these doors are not those sizes.
The (11) rows of 8" block is a dead giveaway. We believe the single door is 30" x 84" and the double door is 60" x 84". Please confirm if this is correct?
RESPONSE 1: The single wide door has an approximate rough opening of 39-1/2” x 89- 1/2”. Existing single door to be removed is 36” wide with a 12” x 12” door lite. Contractor shall provide a single door that is 36" x 84" with a minimum size 24” x 30” insulated door lite with security wire. The double door has an approximate rough opening of 64” x 88-1/2”. Existing double doors to be removed are 30” wide with a 12” x 12” door lite. Contractor shall provide double doors that are each 30" x 84" with a minimum size of 16” x 30” insulated door lite with security wire. Contractor shall verify all dimensions and layout of openings prior to providing door and frame product submittal.
QUESTION 2: Due to these sizes, the 24" x 30" lite they call for in each door will simply not fit.
Instead, the exposed glass size of the lites will be 16" x 30". Please confirm if this is acceptable?
RESPONSE 2: For the single door, the Contractor shall provide a minimum size of 24” x 30” top half insulated door lite with security wire. For each of the doors on the double door, the Contractor shall provide a minimum size of 16” x 30” top half insulated door lite with security wire.
QUESTION 3: Are we to provide wire in both panes of glass in each insulated glass unit, or one pane of wire glass and one pane of tempered glass?
RESPONSE 3: The Contractor shall provide one pane of wire glass and one pane of tempered glass.
