CALLAHAN MINING SITEDRAFT TERRAIN ANALYSIS
ELEVATION DATA
Data Sources
Two Digital Elevation Models were created and clipped to the area of interest and used to calculate the elevation change from 2010 to 2016:
1. 2010 ARRA (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act) Callahan Lidar Derived DEM
• Date of collection: 11 November 2010
• Horizontal Accuracy: 2 Meter
• Horizontal Datum:NAD83 2011 WGS84
• Vertical Accuracy: 10 centimeter RMSEz
• 95% Confidence Interval at 20 centimeter – valid for 2 foot contour intervals
• Vertical Datum: NAVD88
• Low Tide Collection Bias +/-90 minutes
• Bare Earth DEM
1. 2016 Buckeye Callahan DEM
• Date of collection: 31 March 2016
• Low Tide: 11:15AM 1.2 feet
• Horizontal Accuracy: 0.5 Meters
• Horizontal Datum: NAD88 2011 WGS84
• Vertical Accuracy: .009 cm RMSEz
• 95 % Confidence Interval at .01 cm – valid for 1 foot or better contour intervals
• Vertical Datum: NAVD88
• Bare Earth DEM – Vegetation and Structures Removed
Note: Low tide collection was conducted for these data to maximize coverage area. Contour units generated for the terrain analysis are described in feet.
Original data such as the 2010 ARRA DEM and 2016 Buckeye DEM units are reported as they were collected - in metric units.

Caveats
The calculations made during this time period were based on a 2010, 2 meter horizontal resolution DEM, and a 2016 0.5 meter resolution DEM. It is assumed that the greatest horizontal accuracy achieved for this calculation is no better than 2 meter.
The calculations made for z values were also based on at 2010 DEM with a vertical accuracy of +/-20 centimeters, and a 2016 DEM with a +/-1 centimeter vertical accuracy. It is assumed that the greatest vertical accuracy for this calculation is no better than 20 centimeters.
