About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file related to a tower decommissioning project. The contractor asked several key questions about the project scope, including documentation on the tower's structure, staging area availability, equipment preservation requirements, and equipment location. The government responded that no additional tower documentation was found, the maintenance area is available for staging, two 150-foot coax cable sets need to be preserved on separate spools (one single cable, one with six cables), and all equipment will remain onsite. The contractor sought clarification on saving receiver equipment, and the government confirmed that only equipment currently present at the site is the contractor's responsibility.

Contractor’s question: Is there any documentation on the tower itself. Original drawings, structural analysis, or an inspection? This will help on the size of crane needed.
Government response: No additional information on the tower was found.
Contractor’s question: Will we be able to utilize the entire asphalt area for staging once we bring down the tower sections?
Government response: Yes, the maintenance area is available for use.
Contractor’s question: The list of equipment only mentions 150’ of coax. There are 10 antennas listed on the Scope of Work. Do all 10 lines of coax need to be saved? If yes, does each line need to have its own spool? If yes, what are the sizes of each one?
Government response: There are two 150 coax cables- one is a single cable and one is a combination of six cables.
Each of the two will need its own spool.
Contractor’s question: Will the equipment being saved stay at the maintenance building next to the tower. If no, what is the address where we need to drop off the equipment?
Government response: Equipment will remain onsite.
Contractor’s question: The Scope of work mentions the receiver equipment needing to be saved. The shelter looks to already be removed from site. I want to verify that we would not be responsible for equipment that is not on site.
Government response: The contractor is only responsible for equipment that is onsite.
