Text version

Q1. Can you please confirm if you want these meals dropped off in buffet style pans and the caterer does not need to serve, or do you want them dropped off in buffet style pans and you want the caterer to stay and serve, or do you want them dropped off in individually boxed meals? Please advise. There doesn't seem to be a SOW posted with that information.

A1. The vendor will drop off the meals and the unit will serve the food.

Q2. And I'm assuming you need them to follow the menu exactly? Thanks!

A2. Yes, follow the menu exactly as the menu was developed and approved by our State Surgeon which ensures the right amount of calories and nutritional value for our Soldiers.

Substitutions can only be requested after award and must be submitted by email so our State Food Service Personnel can review the request.

Q3. Wanted to inquire about menu changes to breakfast due to increased cost, limited supply quantity and rationing of eggs due to the killing of chickens for the bird flu? Please advise if we are able to offer a substitute item in place of eggs if we cannot get the adequate supply needed for this contract. Some food service companies are now putting limits on how much each person can have.

A3. Offerors will quote the menu as is to ensure a level playing field. After the award is made then the offeror may propose changes by email to this office which must be submitted to our Food Service Sergeant for review and approval.

Q4. What times each day?

A4. Times are TBD.

Q5. Are Drinks choices and paper products required? If so, what is preferred?

A5. The menu contains the only drinks required and the solicitation evaluation criteria in addendum 1 of FAR 52.212-1 explains what is required by the Government.
