The width of the roadway surface from curb to curb is 24-feet.

b. The top six to nine inches of the approach roadway surface of 21 non-overflow monoliths will be excavated and disposed of offsite. Excavation of the roadway surface will be accomplished by an VDOT approved method such as saw cutting and milling. All procedures and restrictions described in the VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications (2020) shall be followed. Jack hammers and rams attached to excavators will not be allowed due to the roadway surface being on top of a mass concrete dam.
