NOTE 2:

PURPOSES, BY ADDING THE TOTAL PRICE FOR ALL OPTIONS TO THE TOTAL PRICE FOR THE

AWARD.

NOTE 4:

NOTE 5:

Carolina Beach and Kure Beach dredging work:

FAR Clause 52.236-16 QUANTITY SURVEYS (APR 1984) applies to CLINs 0002-0005 (and 0007, 0008 and 0009, if exercised). The Contractor shall conduct the original and final surveys and surveys for any periods for which progress payments are requested.

NOTE 6:

Hopper dredging may be performed at Carolina Beach and Kure Beach from December 1 through March 31 each year.

The environmental window for placement of material on ocean front beaches is from November 16 through April 30. Equipment may be moved onto the beaches after November 16 but must be removed no later than April 30.

There is no environmental window for dredging by mechanical (clamshell, dragline, or dipper) or hydraulic pipeline dredges.

NOTE 7:

The approximate location of the pipeline route is identified on the Project Overview Plan (Sheet GI02). The Corps and the Non-Federal Sponsor currently only have authorization for placement of the pipeline on State owned lands located at or below the mean high water line. The pipeline route used by contractor during past renourishment contracts is also identified on Sheet GI02. Under this solicitation, unless amended, the contractor would have to acquire the necessary easements before the pipeline route used during past contracts could be utilized.

However, the Non-Federal Sponsor has initiated the process to acquire the necessary easements for the pipeline route used during past contracts. On or about 3 August, 2018, the Non-Federal Sponsor, Town of Carolina Beach, NC, served the subject property owners a "NOTICE OF INTENT TO ENTER UPON LANDS AND TO FILE EMINENT DOMAIN/ CONDEMNATION ACTION [N.C.G.S. §§ 40A- 11 & 40] TO ACQUIRE EASEMENT FOR BEACH RENOURISHMENT PROJECT." The solicitation will be amended if/when the Non-Federal Sponsor is vested with the right of immediate possession of the pipeline easements, estimated to be approximately 30 days from the filing of the notice. Any amendment will provide for sufficient time prior to bid opening to allow bidders an opportunity to bid the project accordingly. All easements have been received for the beach placement of pipeline.
