QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

The purpose of this modification is to incorporate Questions and Answers (Q&A) to the solicitation. Solicitation closing date has been extended to Monday, 09 December 2019 at 10:00 a.m.

Central European Summer Time.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

**Please note that all questions are posted verbatim as they were received**

QUESTION 1: CLIN NO: 0001 ELIN NO: A001AA: When you say "...doors", do you really think of doors or could this as well mean "gates"? Because of size that matters concerning the price.

Answer: A001AA refers to manual operated sectional doors only. In the ELIN sheet these items are without dimensions. In general for the price for the price evaluation: IAW ELIN sheet, I mean doors. The major differentiation takes place according to the type/kind of the Door System and not according to the size (mixed calculation). A001AA Manual Operated Sectional Door

A001AB Power Operated Automatic Door A001AC Power Operated Sectional Doors A001AD Power Operated Side Sliding Gate A001AE Power Operated Rolling Grill A001AF Power Operated Venetian Blind

QUESTION 2: If we don't quote maintenance for e.g. venetian blinds, is it okay for you?

Answer: If not quoting means, not performing maintenance the answer is: NO!!

Maintenance has to be performed IAW PWS on each and every Door System.

Or is it allowed to use a subcontractor?

Answer: IAW PWS 1.10.1 Special Qualifications / Certifications subcontractors are allowed, but have to meet the same requirements as the prime contractor.

QUESTION 3: We divide sliding doors and other doors as well if one or two leafs- can you do as well?

Answer: NO, we don't

QUESTION 4: Are there doors in maximum security areas? question is, if it takes more time for our technician to register and check out of this area

Answer: Reference is made to PWS Para 1.6.3 Installation Access. No maximum security areas. Work at Entrance Gates need to be coordinated with Security Office because of installation access.

QUESTION 5: CLIN NO: 0005 repair parts - Tower Barracks... estimated amount for repair parts...how do you get the amount of 26.765,68 €?

Answer: This is not a fixed amount. As outlined this is just an estimated amount - that may be higher or lower depending on the damage to the doors occur during the performance of the contract.
