008AD – HYGENE SERVICE ON SPECIAL HUMIDIFIER IN BLDG # 100 IN HOHENFELS

Perform a hygienic inspection according to the VDI 6022, as follows:

Walk through the technical rooms and rooms supplied by this air handling/ ventilation unit.

Measurement of temperature, humidity, air flow at 5 representative points. Measure of the bacteria count on 5 points of the unit and the duct system. Measure of the bacteria count at the humidifier chamber. Inform the COR, if the bacterial count is higher than 1000 KBE/ml.

Measure of legionella-concentration in the humidifier circuit. Documentation of results in a written report to the

COR in German and English language. Transmittal of written advices for better hygienic in the system.

Check the humidifier chamber for dirt. Check current condition of sprayers. Replace sprayers if necessary, using genuine parts of same type and manufacturer. Decide, if maintenance schedule is sufficient. Clean all drains and siphons of the casings to the point of the next T- connection.

Clean all strainers. Inspect casing for water and its source. Check and adjust water level regulators. Clean all parts to the level of “function preserving cleaning”. That means that the casing has to be cleaned with a dry cleaning method

(sweeping or wiping) from the outside. The inside of the casing with all its air- ducting parts has to be cleaned by wet- wiping by using of pH- neutral detergents. The usage of a high pressure cleaner is not allowed. After the regular cleaning the humidifier chamber need to be disinfected. After the cleaning work inside, the casing with all its air-ducting parts has to get dried out by a usable method, (before the system will be operated again). Check the functioning of conductivity measuring cell.
