SOLICITATION AMENDMENT 0001

CHANGES TO THE PWS

1. Change Paragraph 10b on page 8 of the PWS (page 16 of solicitation) to read the following:

“b. Five-Man Dive Team.

A five-man dive team consists of one dive supervisor, one diver, one stand-by diver, and two tenders and may be used whenever a penetration dive is not anticipated. A five-man dive shall also be used whenever diver bottom time is limited by water depth. The Contractor may provide additional personnel for his own convenience, at no additional cost to the Government.”

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q1. In the above referenced solicitation, it refers to a Past Performance Questionnaire, but it is not included in the solicitation.

A1. The Past Performance Questionnaire is included with this amendment.

Q2. Can a reference letter be submitted to the contracting activity for performance on current Corps of Engineers projects?

A2. Yes, current contracts can be used for past performance.

Q3. On Item #0001AA MOB and DEMOB, is it 2100 miles MOB plus 2100 miles DEMOB or 4200 miles MOB and 4200 miles DEMOB?

A3. It is 2100 miles MOB and 2100 miles DEMOB.

Q4. On Item #0001AD, is the 300 hours for a 4-man team with 12,000 hours or is it a 4 man team @8 hours divided by 300 hours for 9.375 days?

A4. Each hour of the 300 hours is how much the 4 man team will get paid per hour as a whole team (not per person). Therefore, 300 hours equals 37.5 days of diving.

Q5. If the 4 man team is a calculation of 37.5 days then why are they only giving 15 days of per diem?

A5. There are only 15 days of per diem because many of the dives are only 1-day dives that would not require per diem. Per diem is only allowed if the Contracting Officer allows the Contractor to stay overnight in a hotel. Paragraph 15 (pg 10 of the solicitation) explains the instances when per diem is allowed.

Q6. Will this solicitation be modified to change the date of submittal?

A6. As of the date of this amendment, the submittal due date for proposals remains unchanged.
