About this file

This document is a Questions and Responses (Q&A) file for the Sacramento Deepwater Ship Channel (DWSC) Dredging FY25 federal contract opportunity. The document provides responses to five specific questions from potential contractors, covering topics such as anticipated award date, notice to proceed timing, water quality management requirements, and environmental considerations related to Delta Smelt.

Key details include an anticipated award date of 2 June 2025, with notice to proceed expected 5-7 days after award, contingent on bond receipt and validation. The solicitation (W912P725BA011) involves annual maintenance dredging of the Sacramento DWSC to -30-ft (MLLW) plus 1-ft of paid over-depth, with environmental constraints such as strict monitoring for Delta Smelt encounters. Water quality management is not required to be performed by a third party, and any Delta Smelt interactions beyond five individuals will require immediate work stoppage and notification of the Contracting Officer and environmental manager.
