About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the Pickwick Lock Dewatering, Scaffolding Rental federal contract opportunity. The document addresses a contractor's request for a site visit to perform measurements. The government response indicates that estimated scaffolding measurements are included in the Statement of Work (SOW), and a site visit is not deemed necessary. However, the government remains open to site visit requests from contractors.
The Q&A clarifies that reference photos have been provided to help understand the layout, but these photos are for reference only and do not provide exact measurements or precise locations. The SOW mentions step-off platforms for the upper and lower ends of the chamber, with specific platform lengths to be determined in the field based on scaffolding location. Contractors are explicitly instructed to rely solely on the SOW for specifications and measurements, with the photos serving only to illustrate general location and constraints.

QUESTION AND ANSWER
Question 1: Our team would like to request a site visit to perform measurements, is this a possibility?
Government Response: The estimated measurements for the scaffolding are included in the
Statement of Work (SOW) document. As such, a site visit is not deemed necessary. However, we remain open to accommodating site visit requests from any contractor who chooses to submit one in response to this RFI.
To aid in understanding the layout, reference photos have been provided. Please note:
• These photos are for reference only.
• They do not provide exact measurements or precise locations.
• The SOW mentions step off platforms for both the upper and lower end of the chamber, the lengths required to reach both the upper miter sill and caisson will need to be determined in the field as these will be dependent on the location of the scaffolding
• They are intended to illustrate general location and constraints.
• The photos are not part of the SOW and do not dictate any specific contract requirements.
Contractors should rely solely on the SOW for specifications and measurements.
