About this file
This document outlines testing and inspection requirements for a new intake gantry crane to be installed at Old Hickory Dam. Key details include specifications for shop and on-site inspection and testing of the crane by qualified personnel before final acceptance. Performance tests are required at no load, 100% rated load, and 125% rated load to verify capacities, speeds, and compliance with limits for the main hoist, auxiliary hoists, trash jib hoist, actuating mechanisms, and tool hoist. Training is also specified for operating and maintenance personnel on general operation, the emergency generator, solid state components, and more.
