About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract solicitation W912L826QA001 issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The document addresses eight clarifications submitted by prospective contractors regarding a vegetation and debris removal project.
The project involves clearing 30 acres of overgrown vegetation and removing debris from site, with grass and brush to be cut to less than 3 inches and removed. The Period of Performance is 7 working days from the start date, weather permitting, with this being a one-time requirement rather than ongoing maintenance. The government does not require specific herbicide products beyond compliance with applicable state law, nor does it mandate specific debris disposal methods or debris removal procedures. No formal inspection checklist exists; contractors will be evaluated on meeting the standard of cutting grass/brush below 3 inches and removing materials from site. Site visits can be scheduled through CW2 Grant Dale at 304-282-9054, grant.r.dale.mil@army.mil, or C2 Dakota.j.layne.mil@army.mil. Pictures of the site have been uploaded with Amendment dated 26 January 2026, and the Statement of Work has been corrected to reflect the accurate 30-acre acreage and corrected performance dates, as documented in the same amendment.

Answers Question
1. Pictures have been uploaded with Amendment dtd 26 Jan 2026
Could take some pictures around the site. Having a better idea of the scope and the size of the overgrowth that needs to be cleared
2. Acreage is 30 acres, SOW has ben corrected and uploaded with Amendment dtd 26 January 2026
I noticed going through SOW for the solicitation # W912L826QA001 and the Map provided, that the acreage's do not match. The map calls for 30 acres, while the SOW calls for 20. I would just like to clarify which would be the correct acreage to quote.
3. Statement has been corrected the Period of Performance and can be seen on Amendment dtd 26 January 2026. Period of Performance for work to be completed will 7 working days from start date.
Pending weather permitting
The Statement of Work references a project timeline of “February 17, 2025 – February 24, 2025,” while the RFQ is issued in January 2026. Can you please confirm the intended performance start and end dates for this requirement?
4. No, the government does not require a specific products beyond state law
For the herbicide application on gravel pads, does the Government require specific products (e.g., active ingredients) or any particular environmental restrictions or licensing for applicators beyond applicable state law?
5. No. No specific methods are required for removal of debris from site .
Are there any preferred or required methods for debris and trash disposal (e.g., specific landfills, recycling requirements, or on site chipping vs. off site removal)?
6. No, There is no formal checklist.
Requirement is to cut down grass/brush less than 3 inches and remove from site
Is there a formal inspection checklist or objective performance measures for the “acceptable standard” of clearing (e.g., target grass/brush height, extent of wood line clearing) that will be used during final inspection?
7. This is a one-time requirement.
Statement has been corrected the Period of Performance and can be seen on Amendment dtd 26 January 2026. Period of Performance for work to be completed will 7 working days from start date.
Pending weather permitting
Requesting clarification on the dates this work is to be performed and whether or not this was a one-time job or continual maintenance throughout the year.
I found these dates, February 17, 2025 – February 24, 2025, which would indicate that it was to be completed in a week, but the year is wrong. So, just needed clarification that the dates weren't supposed to be 2026- 2027 etc.
8. Site vist can be scheduled thr CW2 Grant Dale @ 304-282-9054 or grant.r.dale.mil@army.mil OR C2 Dakota.j.layne.mil@army.mil
Can we Schule an alternate date for a site visit
