Text1: Army Regulation 420-1 sets the life expectancy for ARFF vehicles at 15 years. The vehicles contracted will be no older than 15 years for the duration of the contract and options.
Text2: All periodic maintenance and services required on any and all components. Any maintenance required to ensure the vehicles are serviceable. Any maintenance or service to restore vehicle to a serviceable status or condition. This includes oil changes, air filters, and light bulbs.
Text3: Daily maintenance and serviceability checks will be provided by on duty shift firefighters.
Text4: Changing tires are not a part of the shift firefighter duties. The station does not possess an appropriate lift system to change tires. Tires, and the changing of tires, is contemplated within the maintenance portion of the contract.
Text5: Earliest available date (within 30 days of contract being awarded, if possible)
Text6: No operators are required under this contract.
Text7: ARFF trucks equal to, or larger, in capacity will suffice to replace smaller ones; provided they do not exceed the 3000 gal size or increase the expense of the contract. Also, two trucks remain the requirement.
