W912L2-17-Q-2010 – Halon Bottles 162 WG and 161st ARW Q & A

Q1. CLIN 0007 has the contractor providing 240LB of Halon 1211 agent. Normally, when we perform this service, mainly for the air force, it's mandated that all Halon 1211 be procured internally from the supply system and cannot be provided by the contractor. I just want to confirm that it is the intention of this solicitation for the contractor to provide this Halon 1211 from a commercially available source.

A1. DLA is the required source and the RFQ has been updated to remove CLIN 0007 for Halon and replace with Contracting Manpower Reporting Application (CMRA) previously CLIN 0008.

Q2. Will it be possible to set up at each location with a mobile service trailer and perform this service on site? This would allow the service to be completed in 2-3 days total from start to finish?

A2. Yes, PWS has been updated for this option.

Q3. When I complete my bid, I'm supposed to email it to you right?

A3. Yes, please submit in the RFQ format with the line items.

Q4. You have a halon tank listed, is this tank to be used to top off any fire extinguisher that is short or low on halon?

A4. The original RFQ asked for the vendor to provide 240 pounds of halon for the Phoenix location only.

This has been updated in the RFQ line items (See question 1). The Government will provide additional

Halon to top off the bottles that are serviced.

Q5. Will the RFQ be extended?

Q5. Yes, the RFQ will be extended to 18 May 2017 at 12pm AZ time.
