13-Jun-181In Fuel Cell Tank Maintenance Room #124 and Fuel Cell Tools and Equipment Room #125 along Col. line B1 the wall is tagged as a Type G which is a 6” wall with SAB and GWB each side to the deck from 10’-8” AFF. ON A2/A-353 it shows a metal liner panel. Which is correct.Type G partition is correct. 26-Jun-182Spec section 211318 doesn’t mention anything about the preaction piping being supervised with air pressure. Please confirm you aren’t requiring the preaction piping to be pneumatically supervisedSupervisory air was not required based on the design criteria at the time of design.2-Jul-18
26-Jun-183After reading the preliminary and final test specifications for the foam system 211325, it is my understanding that the actual foam discharge test only occurs at the final testing, Please conform that the contractor only has to perform one foam discharge test. The contractor is required to discharge foam during the preliminary testing to verify adequate coverage is provided prior to the the final acceptance testing. The contractor is also required to discharge foam during final testing.2-Jul-18
26-Jun-184In regards to the foam discharge test required in section 211325 most facilities will allow the high expansion foam solution to be slowly releases into the sanitary storm system. Since we aren’t familiar with this facility and won’t know if they will allow that or not, please clarify what costs we are to include in our bid? Will the local treatment facility accept the foam solution in the storm sewer or will we have to collect it and haul it away in a tractor trailer and have it disposed of at another facility?Following release of the HEF, Contractor will allow the foam to dissipate overnight and wash and remaning residual foam with slow release into sanitary sewer system, NOT the Storm water system.
26-Jun-185Please confirm that room 117, 118, 119, 124, and 125 get protected by the wet fire sprinkler system.Correct. These areas are to be protected via wet pipe sprinkler system(s).2-Jul-18
26-Jun-186What size valve is the sprinkler contractor to leave per note 3 on drawing F101 in room 119 for the paint booth? Or tell us what gpm and pressure is required for the paint boot FP system so we can properly size that piping to the valve.Provide a 3-inch supervised control valve.2-Jul-18
26-Jun-187Please confirm if the sprinkler piping and/or fittings for the preaction systems in spec section 211318 is to be black or galvanizedPipe requirements can be found in Section 21 1318, Paragraph 2.4.2-Jul-18
24-Jun-188Will the corrosion control bay/Hangar be an abrasive blasting bay?

If so, where is the space allocated for the dust collection system and blast equipment ?

If not, where will the abrasive blasting take place? In the stripping room?Abrasive blasting is to occur in the stripping room only and associated equipment will be located in that room.2-Jul-18
24-Jun-189Is the paint booth going to be cross draft, semi down draft or down draft?Down draft type.2-Jul-18
24-Jun-1810Are thecomplete specifications for abrasive blasting equipment and painting equipment available?
If not, when will they be available? These pieces of equipment are not part of this contract and a separate solicitation date is unknown3-Jul-18
24-Jun-1811Is there equipment that is being used as the basis of design?GFS Performer XD was used as the basis of design.2-Jul-18
24-Jun-1812What is the next step in the process for incorporating the essential blasting and painting equipment needed for corrosion control?Separate solicitation will be sent out at a later date unknown at this time.3-Jul-18
27-Jun-1813Paragraph 2.5.2 Volume 2 Part 1, This Section appears to indicate that Part 1 shall consist of the Construction Schedule and a 5 page schedule narrative, per Paragraph 2.5.2.1.2 , However the paragraph before this (2.5.2.1.1) seems to indicate that there should be a summation of the relevant past experience .Question: Should this summation be included as a separate Part? The Government intends to use the past experience information provided in the Exhibit A during the evaluation of the Technical factor.27-Jun-18
27-Jun-1814Paragraph 2.5.2.2.12 indicates that key personal may also consider in the governments evaluation, Should Key Personnel resumes be provided as a separate section? Please see section 2.5.2.2.12.1 for further clarification.27-Jun-18
27-Jun-1815Exhibit A Part 1 Sub Part D 4 indicates “A letter of commitment, as described in Section 00120, will be required for key subcontractors personnel” Is this correct are subcontractor personnel to be listed? The Letter of Commitment if for the proposed Key Subcontractor firms as stipulated in the letter27-Jun-18
27-Jun-1816Considering the whole of section 00120 and Exhibit A it is not clear weather subcontractor past performances are required and/or whether a letter of commitment is required for the subcontractors or is this only required if we are using them as relevant past performance? Please clarify.Exhibit A is for the prime to provide relevant past performance in regards to the required effort. Exhibit B is the Subcontractor consent for the release of relevant past performance to the Government. Please refer to section 2.3.2 of the solicitation on how past performance may be evaluated.27-Jun-18
27-Jun-1817It would be helpful if you would list what is specifically to be included in Volume 2 as there seems to be discrepancies between section 00110, 00120 and Exhibit APlease refer to Section 110 for proposal submission requirements27-Jun-18

28-Jun-1821We request that the period of Past Performance (Exhibit A) be extended to 10 Years. As this project is set aside for small business, we as a small business have been effected by the lack of sufficient local federal government projects in the size and scope range of this proposed project over the past five years. While we can provide projects that are relevant. Our almost fifty years’ experience as a federal and local government contractor and the experience of our long tenured project managers and superintendents, can be better be exemplified by projects that have been completed over a ten year period. In order for Magnum to more properly show its range of experience can at least one project be included outside the five year but within the ten year range?See amendment 1 dated 02 July 20182-Jul-18
