About this file
This is a Questions & Answers document for RFQ W912K626QA003 dated March 27, 2026. The document addresses four inquiries regarding meal catering services at Sykesville Armory in Eldersburg, Maryland.
Key clarifications include: meals must be delivered in individual to-go containers rather than buffet-style catered pans to accommodate traveling Service Members who will miss lunch; the contracting unit has secured storage available for bulk supply deliveries; the unit assumes responsibility for all post-meal cleanup, trash removal, and disposal of sterno fuel cans; and delivery access to the armory requires coordination with the unit point of contact on the first day, presenting valid identification at the entrance (no security checkpoint required as it is a standalone facility). The document notes that no further questions will be answered after this Q&A release.

Questions & Answers 20260327
1. Can you confirm if the meals can be delivered in catered pans (buffet style) versus individual containers?
A: Individual containers for (To-Go) meal style for traveling SMs that will miss lunch.
2. Do you have a Secured Storage Area for Supplies which can be delivered in bulk, or would the contractor need to provide Supplies upon every delivery?
A: We have secured storage that can be used.
3. After the lunch service period, who is responsible for post-meal cleanup, trash removal, and disposal of sterno fuel cans?
A: The unit will deal with all the cleaning and trash removal.
4. Are there any specific delivery instructions, gate access, or parking requirements for catering vehicles at Sykesville Armory (6501 Sykesville Rd, Eldersburg, MD 21784)?
A: Contact the unit the first day and we will meet you at the entrance. This is a stand-alone armory, not located behind a security checkpoint, so just a valid ID so the unit can identify you and ensure you are with the vendor.
Unit POC will be provided to the awardee.
