2. Are they any dimensions provided or drawings of the 9 windows for the option? The dimensions are provided in the option 5 Replace 9 Windows photos.

3. The Statement of work 4.2.2 says install 2 new 4ft x 10ft window systems. The picture provided, “Example of Replacement Windows” shows a system that is 10ft x 10ft wide. Please clarify. An amendment to the statement of work 4.2.2 shall read "Install 2 new 66" H X 124" L window systems from extruded aluminum alloy frame. These window systems must match the décor and color of the adjacent existing windows."

4: Should the 9 option replacement windows match the existing windows? Meaning, should the doubles have a fixed bottom/operable middle/fixed top? Or do you want to replace with fixed only? Should they have muntins? Please provide a detailed window schedule to price accurately. The option 5 Replace 9 Windows shall match the Example Replacement Window and will be replaced as fixed only with Mullion bars as necessary. The window schedule shall be as follows: Product, EFCO Thermal Aluminum SF EFCO 2700 1" Insulated Panels, Ratting Heavy Commercial P-HCSO AAMA RATED, Finnish Dark bronze anodized, Warranty one year total product ten year glass. All product information and materials shall follow the submittal process as stated in Addendum to statement of work Paragraph 16.

The ceiling height from finished floor to the ceiling is 8' and the height from the tile ceiling to the deck for suspension support is 6' 6"

6. Please verify if the existing interior door frames are to be replace. The drawing A101 refer to the doors but is not clear on the door frames. Six existing door frames have side lights not are not addressed if the frames are being replaced. RFI as of 27 Aug 2016

1. Where can I find the option 5 replace 9 window photos that shows dimensions that was mentioned in RFI response to question #2? Photos upload to FBO.

2. The attached document shows photos of the two types of windows in the building. 1 is of the dark bronze storefronts that are roughly 125" x 125".

The other shows the double window units that are roughly 66" x 124". It was my understanding from the walk through that 2 of the large storefront openings are base bid items and the double window openings are the option windows, 7 doubles and 2 singles. The store front Bronze aluminum windows will not be replaced and are for example for replacement windows only along with product information provided on the previous RFI. The two 66” X 124” windows shown in the attached PDF are the base bid windows to be replaced. The option 5 window replacement locations are shown in the attached revised window option detail from drawing A-101 the dimensions are shown in the photo option 5 attachment of package.

The RFI response to question #3 seems to contradict that thought and has 2 of the 66" H windows to be replaced as base bid. Is this accurate? Correct the two base bid windows as shown in attached PDF are 66”X124”

3. With information just received today and questions the above questions still up in the air, the window manufacturers will need time to quote. Please allow for a bid extension and please respond to the above RFI's.

Solicitation will not be extended.

Please describe the construction materials that comprise the demountable partitions separating Storage from Crew Chief and scheduled for demolition, there is no Demountable wall to be installed. The stud material shall be 3 5/8” aluminum wall system and shall be Clark Dietrich Building Systems Product or equivalent as indicated in attached cut sheet. The Gypsum Board shall follow the wall schedule, reference and SOW under Finishes 5 and schedule of finishes 6

4. Insulation inserts are called out for existing CMU partitions; this is not constructable. Can we install poured-in-cavity insulation? The insulated Inserts are not applicable to this project, poured in cavity insulation is acceptable.

5 Does door D1 have to be insulated? The two exterior doors shall be insulated and the one interior door shall not be insulated.

6 A door D2 is located at bottom of interior stairs Crew Chief. Is a partition planned for at such location? No partition for the D2 door is to be installed, remove and replace existing door only. However under the stairwell where the note on drawing A101 states “ EXISTING SINK, WATER HEATER AND ALL ASSOCIATED PLUMBING TO BE REMOVED ,FRAME AND REFINISH OPENING.”

7 How high is structural ceiling? The ceiling height from finished floor to the tile ceiling is 8' and the height from the tile ceiling to the deck for suspension support is 6' 6"

8 Does interior stair at Crew Chief area already have its railings and guardrail? There is NO work to be performed on the guard rail, railing’s or with the stairwell except for the replacement of the door.

9 Certain walls are called-out to receive extended finishes, code "X". Refer to the A-101 drawing wall reference and schedule

10 Please describe where existing finishes stop vertically and what work and related height will be required to complete the same up to suspended ceiling grids. Refer to the A-101 drawing wall reference and schedule

11 Provide ceiling heights schedule, The ceiling height is to be replaced as the same as the existing ceiling height from finished floor to the tile ceiling is 8' and the height from the tile ceiling to the deck for suspension support is 6' 6"

12 Provide scale on demolition plan, Refer to the Partial Floor plan A-100 for scale dimensions

13 The civil drawing seems scaled properly but a few callout dimensions are incorrect (i.e. proposed 6" concrete slab measures 16' x 69', not 17' x 49') The correct dimensions for the slab are 17’ x 49’

14 Provide size and description of all (3) doors scheduled for replacement under Option #2 The detailed information is provided in “GAGAGE DOORS BID OPTION 3.2”

15 Why is CMU modification called out for the replacement (2) windows where the footprint of new work fits within existing rough openings? There are no CMU modifications; the contractor is to repair CMU only where work is to be performed for replacement and installation of the new products. Also the RETOOL BRICK OPTION AT SOUTHEASTERN AND NORTHEASTERN CORNERS OF THE BUILDING BID OPTION AS STATED IN SOW 3.4

16 Are we to replace non-insulated flext duct with insulated type? Correct, Refer to drawing M-100 General notes 14 “INSLUATE ALL DUCTS AND PIPING”
