1. Reference Drawing E-101- Lighting: Could you provide a Fixture Schedule that describes type of lamps, diffuser type and any preferred manufacturers?

· The suggested manufacture or equivalent to be Mobern Lighting, part number RG22-2-U32X-MV. See Cut sheet attached with highlighted part number with description.

2. Reference Drawing E-101- Switching: The Switching for the corridor between the Break Room and Offices shows a 3-Way Manual Switch on one end and a 3-Way Sensor on the other end. Is this correct?

· Yes this is correct, the switching for the corridor between the between the break room and the offices shall be a 3-way manual switch on one end and 3-way sensor on the other end.

3. Reference Drawing E-100 Riser Diagram & Panel SDP-1: While attending the site visit on 6/11/14 it was said that the feed between the Main 800A Panel and Panel SDP-1, shown in grey on the riser, is the only feeder to be included in this Scope of Work. Everything shown in Red is existing or being furnished by others. Is this correct?

· Yes this is correct, the riser diagram shown in gray on E-100 drawing from proposed panel SDP1 to existing main panel located in mechanical room at the West end of the building is the only electrical feed cable to be placed from the main 800A panel. Everything shown in red on E-100 riser diagrams is existing.

4. Reference Drawing E-100, E-101 Riser Diagram & Panel SDP-1: Can you provide a plan drawing that shows the location of the Main 800A Panel. Per our site visit we were told there are restrictions for the pathway for the feeder between the Main 800A Panel and Panel SPD-1. Can you provide a preferred pathway with this plan or highlight the restricted areas that feeders cannot pass through?

Reference Drawing E-100 Riser Diagram & Panel Main 800A: Will a new breaker need to be provide in the Main 800A Panel to serve new Panel SDP-1?

There will be a revision on the E-100 drawing riser diagram and Electrical Section of SOW to be provided before construction begins, for bidding purposes the revision will reflect;

· The pathway for the electrical feed which is to be installed along south exterior wall under soffit which will have to be removed and replaced at contractors cost from the mechanical room main panel 800A to location of proposed electrical panel SDP-1, which was the suggested route discussed during the site visit.

5. What is the intent for the fire suppression system? Is this system to be provided only in the area of the new work or is the intent to bring the entire building up to code. It does not appear that the 2” sprinkler line existing is adequate to supply the new offices.

There is no work to be performed on the fire suppression system; the existing system is to stay in place and no work is to be performed by the contractor.

6. Is it possible to substitute MDSHA standard asphalts used for both State and county highway (Baltimore) paving uses ‘over the counter’ 64.22 and on occasion 70.22 binders.

It has been noticed on plans sheet C-101 that the new asphalt for the DOMOPS Facility 1110 grind & surface and full depth paving’ detail uses an asphalt binder liquid 76.22. This binder liquid, for the most part, is used in asphalt paving of the interstate highways and beltways. It is not an ‘over the counter’ asphalt. It is weather/temperature sensitive and for the most part not a- hand workable asphalt. As this liquid has to be kept warm/hot, local asphalt plants do not keep this binder in stock. This liquid would be stocked for large ‘special’ asphalt orders. In order to pave with the ‘special’ asphalt, the asphalt paving might have to be put on hold until the plant would have enough asphalt orders to justify stocking the 76.22 binder; and in some instances this ‘special’ paving is completed at night.

It is acceptable to substitute Binder 64-22 which is a Maryland State Highway Administration paving standard for the 76-22 binder specified in the C-101 Drawing on the PJMS 142021 Renovate DOMOPS Facility 1110 project.
