Solicitation# W912K3-19-Q-5001
SITE VISIT NOTES (28 November, 2018) The site visit was held at 1:00pm local time at the Western Air Defense Sector (WADS) on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. 3 potential offerors were in attendance. There was a quick walk through the site to discuss the information covered in the solicitation and supporting documents (all of which were posted to FBO). There were no questions asked on site, see the consolidated list of questions asked via email below:
Q&A
1. Are these 2 building shown on Comm Cabling Site Plan – are these 2 physically separate buildings or is it 1 building? Bldg. 852 and BATS. See attached page 1.
A: They are two separate buildings, connected with an underground 4 inch conduit. Which reappears above ground near the BATS shelter/temporary building. As the drawing and contract verbiage states A rigid galvanized pipe, or suitable substitute, will need to be installed between the NEMA box and the shelter to protect the cabling from the elements.
1. If 2 physically separate buildings, what is approximate distance between them?
A: About 70 feet.
1. See attached page 3 – do we need to run voice/data drops to each desk or voice/data drops to each desk is not part of this project?
A: The interior voice/data drops are being handled by a separate contract. This contract only provides the connectivity from the WADS/Bldg. 852 Network Control Center to the BATS Shelter.
