About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) excerpt from a federal contract solicitation addressing contractor inquiries regarding service requirements.
The Government has provided two definitive responses to contractor questions. First, regarding service frequency, the Government clarified that quarterly services would be sufficient and would not accept monthly scheduled service visits as an alternative, even if the contractor included all monthly servicing costs in the firm-fixed price and met all other Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements, including collection, removal, management, transportation, and proper disposal of spent solvent. Second, the Government explicitly stated it does not want automatic parts washers used under this contract. These responses establish firm requirements that contractors must follow in their proposals and performance under the resulting contract.

Text version
Would the Government accept monthly scheduled service visits in place of the quarterly interval, provided the contractor includes all monthly servicing in its firm-fixed price and continues to meet every other PWS requirement, including collection, removal, management, transportation, and proper disposal of spent solvent? Quarterly services would be sufficient.
Would the government consider using automatic parts washers? We do not want automatic parts washers.
