HF Radio Project Equipment Specifications (Provided by Government) 1 - PRC-150 transceiver: AN/PRC-150©:

Specification Requirements – HF Multiband tactical radio, Frequency range 1.6 to 59.999 MHz, Secure Voice, Shall have Type 1 Voice and Data Encryption, Secure FSK 16 kbps CVSD voice and data in the VHF band, Must be compatible with ANDVT/KY-99, ANDVT/KY-100, VINSON/KY-57, and KG-84C cryptographic devices. Shall have the capability to do ALE and meet MIL-STD-188-141B ALE, Shall be JF/12 compliant, Frequency Hopping Serial Tone ECCM, Output Power must meet 1, 5, 20 watts PEP, -1/+2 dB (1, 5, 10 watts FM), Operating temperature shall meet –40˚C to +70˚C, Sensitivity shall meet SSB: –113 dBm (0.5 μV) minimum for 10 dB SINAD, Audio output shall meet 15 mW at 1000 ohm to external handset, Shall have overload protection Receiver protected to 32 VRMS, RF nput/Output Impedance 50 ohm nominal, unbalanced. Shall have up 75 fully programmable presets and COMSEC shall have ANDVT/ ANDVT/HF/BD, KG-84 (R+NR), VINSON (VHF), CITADEL (coalition).

1 - Non-penetrating HF NVIS antenna Dipole; shall be installed on a roof top of building 510: RF-1950-AT001 Specification Requirements - Needs to be installed on a roof top (Non-penetrating), Needs to cover the state of Wisconsin, shall have the frequency range of 2 to 30 MHz with antenna coupler.

1 - 150W Antenna Coupler: RF-5382H-CU001 Specification Requirements - The antenna coupler is required to improve power transfer between the radio and antenna by matching the impedance of the radio to the antenna's feedline. It matches the output of the radio to the antenna. The coupler is required to have a frequency range of 1.6 – 30 MHz. Without the antenna coupler the HF NVIS antenna could only handle 1.6 – 12 MHz and does not meet the required frequency range.

1 - 150W Radio power adapter: RF-5800H-B002 Specification Requirements – 150 Watt power adapter is required to meet the transmission range for the state of Wisconsin. This power adapter will increase the PRC-150 radio from 20 Watts to 150 Watts.

2 - PRC-150 battery eliminator: Power Supply: RF-5910-PS005 Specification Requirements – Two power supplies are required to power the PRC-150 and Remote control system (Remote Head).

1 - Remote control system: RF-7800R-RC011 (Remote Head) Specification Requirements – The Remote head is required because the main HF system will be installed in building 510 and will need to be remoted to the command post. The remote head allows the operator at the remote site (Command Post) to operate the HF radio.

1 – 20 foot Cable Assy, PA/RF-382 CPLR: 10181-9824-020 Specifications - 20 foot cable is required for the power amplifier to the coupler 1 – 20 foot Cable Assy, PA to Coupler Control: 12020-1460-A020 Specifications - 20 foot cable is required for the power amplifier to the coupler
