ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Questions and Answers:
1. Description states - Clear ten (10) existing ponds of plant material and debris. Attached PDF photo in links provided (Technical Exhibit B – Overhead View of Facility Ponds) is showing 49 ponds. Question-does your team have clear guidance on which ten ponds need maintenance?
Ponds will be identified during the site visit, and we will add additional pictures of the ponds after the site visit.
2. Description states - Repair the three-way valve on the cleared ponds back to working order. Our team is assuming repair of three-way valves once ponds (10) are cleared of material and debris Repairing a total of 10 three-way valves. Question-does your team have engineered drawings of the three-way valves when initially installed or have description of which brand /model? (this would allow accurate quoting and ensure standards are met) There are no engineered drawings, and we are unsure of the make and model as they are the original valves.
These will be available for viewing during the site visit. Please not contractors are not allowed to take any pictures.
3. Description states - Clear five (5) additional existing ponds of plant material and debris Question-does your team have clear guidance on which additional ponds need maintenance?
At this time, we are unsure of which ponds these may be however all ponds will be visible during the scheduled site visit on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 10:15 CST. All ponds are found to be in similar states.
4. Description states -Repair and install sectional shutoff valves on five (5) existing ponds Questions -assuming same valves as task 2 located above.
These are not the same valves; they will be valves that connect the ponds or direct drainage when emptying the ponds. These will be pointed out during the site visit Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 10:15 CST.
5. Description states - Task 2 – Replacement of Three-Way Water Valves and Repair of Linear Pipe Leaks Question- will repair of Linear pipe leaks be charged as a time and material line item separate from the quote? (our team cannot quote unforeseen breaks underground this would allow less change orders and less risk for associated companies/clients) We are just wanting them to warranty their work. We don’t want to be stuck with something that is leaking just a few days after completion.
6. Question - Does your team have a budget for project?
Yes.
7. Question - Does your team have a timeline for completion of project?
We are looking to get this done as soon as possible, we would like the vendors to give an estimated time for completion.
8. Question- can we set up an onsite walk through for clear and concise scope of the project or provide local contact information.
Yes A site visit has been planned for Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 10:15 CST as indicated in amendment 00001. All communication is limited to the contracting officer.
9. Is it possible to schedule a site visit to walk the pond, ditches and inspect the valves and lines next week?
A site visit has been planned for Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 10:15 CST as indicated in amendment 00001.
10. Will you please advise if there will be a site visit for The Environmental Laboratory (EL), Aquatic Ecology & Invasive Species Branch (EEA) research facility LAERF in Lewisville, Texas
A site visit has been planned for Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 10:15 CST as indicated in amendment 00001.
11. Do you know whether or not if all of the ponds are actually dry?
Yes, all the ponds are dry.
