About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for Sources Sought Notice W912HQ26S0060, issued by the Army (federal agency) on 21 August 2026, regarding calibration of equipment for the 249th Engineer Battalion. The document addresses four key inquiries from potential contractors regarding service delivery and technical specifications.

The Government requires accredited calibration services with data and uncertainties documentation, notwithstanding the higher associated costs. Equipment pickup locations are specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) Section 7, with the majority of equipment located within the Company Area of Operations. Calibration will be performed on both an annual basis for most equipment and on an emergency basis for approximately 15% of equipment in support of emergent missions. Service delivery will employ both onsite calibration and delivery to contractor facilities, as detailed in PWS Section 3.4. Prospective contractors should reference the PWS for complete specifications regarding pickup locations, service levels, calibration intervals, and operational procedures.
