About this file
This document contains a question and answer log from a pre-solicitation conference for a small business set-aside contract to provide inspection, testing, and maintenance services for fire protection systems at Sierra Army Depot over a three year period. The services required include scheduled tasks for water-based fire suppression, dry chemical, wet chemical, and clean agent systems across sixty-one facilities. Questions and answers provide additional details on the types and quantities of specific systems such as five Pemall HFC-227 clean agent tanks and one Fire Trace HFC-227 tank, double check backflow preventers, and an Edwards Vigilant fire alarm system with AES monitoring. Annual inspections are due by March 31, 2022 for fire alarm and suppression systems, with five-year inspections due in 2023.

Solicitation N/A Since the requirements for testing changes depending on the cycle of testing we would like to ask what years are the fire alarm and sprinklers on. Or in other words based on the table 2-2 and 2-3 what frequency of testing will have to be done in each year of the contract?
In table 2-2 and 2-3 there is a frequency (Annual is done yearly, Building inspection
Annually). Year one for the most part started in 2018, so in
2023 a 5-year will be required
(along with the pervious years options), unless it is a new system then the inspections tags will dictate it’s inspection year.

Solicitation N/A Do you have a list of fire alarm devices to be tested such as horns, strobes, smoke detector, heat detectors, etc? When is the annual fire alarm inspections due?
Fire alarm panels have many different devices to be tested such as horns, strobes, smoke detector, heat detectors. There are 77 fire alarm systems on the depot, is there a specific building that they would like to know the amount of devices? It is a little excessive and manpower extensive to count all the device in every building.
Annual fire alarm inspections are done with the Fire

March 31, 2022.
