About this file

This document is an Amendment (No. 0002) to a federal solicitation for a mini-split HVAC unit installation on the M/V Warioto, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers vessel. The amendment modifies key contract details, including extending the delivery date from May 19, 2025 to May 27, 2025 and changing the response date/time from May 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM to May 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM. The contract requires installing a new 4.0-ton outdoor heat pump condensing unit and indoor air handler at the Fountain City Service Base in Wisconsin, with compatibility for R-32 or R410A refrigerant and compliance with 2025 EPA regulations.

The scope of work involves complete replacement of the existing HVAC system, including procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and disposal of the old unit. The contractor must provide operational manuals, perform all installation at 431 North Shore Drive in Fountain City, WI by the specified date, and be prepared to conduct future warranty work anywhere the vessel operates between St. Paul, MN and St. Louis, MO. The government will provide crane support for equipment movement if prior notice is given, and the installation must accommodate specific dimensional constraints with a heat pump capable of functioning at 0 degrees Fahrenheit or lower.
