About this file
This document is an Amendment (0001) to a federal solicitation (W912ES25Q0046) for installing a new HVAC system on the M/V Warioto, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers towing vessel. The amendment adds a provision that the Government will provide crane support to move equipment on and off the vessel if given prior notice. The contract requires the contractor to supply and install a new 4.0-ton heat pump condensing unit and air handler, meeting 2025 EPA compliant regulations using R-32 refrigerant, with specific dimensional and performance requirements.
The project scope includes complete replacement of the existing HVAC system, with installation to be completed by May 19, 2025, at the Fountain City Service Base in Fountain City, Wisconsin. The contractor is responsible for procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and disposal of the old unit, and must provide operational manuals. Any future warranty work will be performed wherever the vessel is located between St. Paul, MN and St. Louis, MO along the Mississippi River. The work must be completed during the facility's operating hours of 0700-1530, Monday through Friday, with the on-site supervisor being Adam Loven, Plant and Facilities Engineer.
