2.12 DISTORTION CONTROL, FABRICATION, AND SHIPPING PLAN OF STAINLESS STEEL EMBED
PLATES
The Contractor shall submit for approval a Distortion Control Plan for all dewatering panel side seal stainless steel embed plate assemblies. The plan should describe in detail how the tolerances from the contract drawings will be maintained. The plan shall provide illustrative examples and a detailed description of the proposed fabrication process including welding sequence, welding inspection, welding repair, location of temporary brace supports, removal of brace supports, machining, tolerance verification procedure, and shipping plan.
2.13 EMBED PLATE INSTALLATION AND SURVEY PLAN
The Contractor shall ensure the dewatering panel stainless steel side seal embed plate assemblies are within the tolerances shown in the Plans. The Contracting Officer shall randomly select 3 locations on the upstream and downstream side seal embed plates to verify that the embed plates are within the tolerances. The Contractor shall then survey those points and submit them to the Contracting Officer for approval before the concrete placement is allowed to begin. If after concrete placement the side seal plate is out of tolerance the Contractor will be required to fix the areas that are out of tolerance.

3.4 DEWATERING SYSTEM TEST
3.4.1 Dry Fit Test
Prior to breaching the upstream and downstream dams to permit flow to the structure, install the dewatering system to ensure they fit. The Dry Fit Test shall be performed on both bays.
3.4.2 Leakage Test
Prior to breaching the upstream and downstream dams to permit flow to the structure, install the dewatering system as shown in the isometric drawing (sheet SN-001). Breach the upstream and downstream dams and identify any significant leakage. Coordinate with contracting officer to ensure the government's designer is present during this process. Provide a minimum of 14 calendar days advance notice. The Leakage Test only needs to be performed on one bay.

2.7.1.7 Milliamp Signal Surge Protectors
The Milliamp Signal Surge Protector, hereafter referred to as surge protector, shall be a compact din rail mounted unit. The surge protector shall ground the protection path to the din rail. The surge protector shall be a single 4-20 MA unit with terminals for a typical signal pair and with ground shield wire. The surge protector shall be rated to protect a typical 24 VDC 4-20 MA system, using both gas tube arrestors and transient protection diodes. The surge protector shall be UL, CSA, or CE certified recognized.
2.7.1.8 Milliamp Signal Isolators
The Milliamp Signal Isolator, hereafter referred to as signal isolator, shall be a compact din rail mounted unit. The unit shall be powered by 24 VDC and provide true three way isolation between the input 4-20 MA signal, the 24 VDC power and the output 4-20 MA signal. The unit shall provide 1500 VDC isolation between input signal, power supply, and output signal. The unit shall require no calibration, and have an accuracy or 0.25% of full scale. The temperature range shall be from -40 F to 150 F. The signal isolator shall be UL/cUL or CE recognized.

SECTION 00 70 00 - CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT
The following have been modified:
52.211-10 COMMENCEMENT, PROSECUTION, AND COMPLETION OF WORK (APR 1984) -
ALTERNATE I (APR 1984)
The Contractor shall be required to (a) commence work under this contract within 10 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, (b) prosecute the work diligently, and (c) complete the entire work ready for use not later than as follows:
All construction shall be completed by October 16, 2023.
All turf establishment shall be completed by October 16, 2024.
The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises.
The completion date is based on the assumption that the successful offeror will receive the notice to proceed by November 30, 2019. The completion date will be extended by the number of calendar days after the above date that the Contractor receives the notice to proceed, except to the extent that the delay in issuance of the notice to proceed results from the failure of the Contractor to execute the contract and give the required performance and payment bonds within the time specified in the offer.
