Bid Inquiry #7951285 The parameters will vary from situation to situation and the contracting officer will exercise discretion as necessary to determine what is in the best interest of the Government.
Bid Inquiry #7951286 The contractor shall proceed to the project site from their current location within 7 days of receipt of task order.
Bid Inquiry #7951287 The contractor is free to take on work between task orders but must be available for the season if not placed on standby within 7 days of receipt of a task order. It is unknown how many days for each contract period the contractor can expect to obligate a dredge plant without being compensated Standby.

SECTION 01 22 00.00 13 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT, Changed PARAGRAPH 1.6.2 Measurement From:
Dredging shall be measured and paid for by the cubic yard (CY) of material removed above the project depth within the allowable tolerance specified below and within the limits of the dredge site as identified in the Task Order. In order to allow for the inaccuracies of the dredging process, the Contractor will be allowed a tolerance of 0.5 feet above project depth in isolated scattered areas providing the total area of under excavated portions does not exceed 10 percent of the total area to be dredged and providing the average depth throughout the dredge site is equal to or greater than the specified project depth in the Task Order. This tolerance will only apply to 11 to 14 foot project depth sites. Dredging locations for all other project depths will be clear swept to the identified project depth.

The Government will not issue task orders for work upstream of river mile 854 unless the Upper St. Anthony Lock is reopened to commercial traffic.
Bid Inquiry #7951290 The bid item could be for island creation but is not limited to this activity. The in-water placement item is for the material placement whether below the water surface or once it is above the water surface.
There will be no differentiation between materials placed under a task order for in-water placement.
This item is paid in addition to the dredging item for this type of work.

1.13.1 Payment
Payment will be made for highway transportation of material up to 10 miles to the placement site identified by the Task Order. This bid item is in addition to the unloading or dredging item associated with the material. Work shall include, but not be limited to, providing all equipment, labor, and other work necessary to transport the material from the marine plant transfer point to the Government designated placement site. Other work includes maintenance and restoration of the haul route which is considered incidental to this bid schedule item. Payment for movement of material up to an additional 900 feet within the placement site from the location designated by the Government is incidental to the unloading or dredging item associated with the material. This bid item is stand-alone from, and may not be combined with, either of the Overland Transportation of Material bid items for payment purposes.
