This clause is part of the terms and conditions of your contract should you choose to submit a proposal. In fact this clause is included in ALL our procurements that exceed $150,000.

This paragraph of the clause states you that when you sign your proposal you agree>>>>>>
Why is this important?
Because we want to ensure that small businesses are the true beneficiaries of set-aside dollars We want to encourage small business skill development in government contracting And Assure use of small businesses as contemplated by contract awards
Small Business Requirements Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB) Federal Contracting Program
The WOSB Federal Contract Program was implemented in February 2011 with the goal of expanding the number of industries where WOSB were able to compete for business with the federal government. This program enables Economically Disadvantaged and Women-Owned Small Businesses to compete for federal contracts that are set-aside for in industries where women-owned small businesses are underrepresented. It also allows set-asides for WOSBs in industries where women-owned small businesses are substantially underrepresented. SBA has designated two sets of industries(EDWOSB & WOSB) according to North American Industry Classification System (NAICS). There were significant changes made in WOSB Federal Contracting Program effective March 03, 2016.
The link below will take you the changes as well as what you need to know if you are a women-owned small business.
