ATTACHMENTS: 40 95 00-17 and 40 95 00-17a.

2.6.1.6 Relays

Provide in accordance with IEEE C37.90 and derated for altitude above 1,500m. Relays as required by the Sequence of Control and as shown. Relay coil to be 120 VAC or 24 VDC, depending on application, and provided with matching mounting socket. Power consumption not to be greater than 3 watts. Provide on-delay timing relays with a minimum of one instantaneous open timed closed contact rated 5 amperes at 120 VAC with 120 VAC coil.

Timing range to be selectable from 0.1 to 60 hours, nominally. Relay to be direct DIN relay mountable or use mounting socket. LED indication to be provided to monitor power on, timing cycle active, and output contact energized.

2.6.1.7 Terminal Blocks

Provide in accordance with NEMA ICS 4 and UL 1059, and be two-way type with double terminals, one for internal wiring connections and the other for external wiring connections. Make terminal blocks of bakelite or other suitable insulating material with full deep barriers between each pair of terminals. A terminal identification strip to form part of the terminal block and each terminal identified by a number in accordance with the numbering scheme on the approved wiring diagrams.

2.6.1.8 Wiring

a. Control wiring for 24 volts circuits to be 18 AWG minimum and rated for 300 volt service.

b. Wiring for circuits operating at more than 100 volts to be 14 AWG minimum and rated for 600 volt service.

c. Analog signal wiring within control panels not to be less than 20 AWG and rated for 300 volt service.

d. Instrumentation cable to be 18 AWG, stranded copper, single or multiple twisted, minimum 2-inch lay of twist, 100 percent shielded pairs, and have 300 volt insulation. Each pair to have a 20 AWG tinned copper drain wire, individual pair, and overall insulation. Cables to have an overall aluminum polyester or tinned overall copper cable shield tap, 20 AWG tinned copper cable drain wire, and overall cable insulation.
