About this file
This is a Technical Specification document for emergency feed equipment at Dworshak Dam. The specification details the procurement of electrical components for Motor Control Centers (MCCs) ESQ1 and SU3 to provide an emergency feed system for fire deluge pumps. All equipment must match existing installations and meet strict electrical and physical requirements.
The primary deliverables include two 300-ampere, 480-volt AC complete bucket assemblies for Square D Model 6 Motor Control Center units (one labeled "Deluge Pump Normal Feed" and one "Deluge Pump Emergency Feed"), ten Square D shunt trip modules for PowerPacT breakers rated at 125VDC control voltage, 250 feet of 350 MCM XHHW-2 TC-rated cable with color-coded conductors, 60 feet of 3-inch rigid metallic conduit, and Eaton B-Line cable tray equipment including straight sections, covers, clamps, splice plates, blind ends, bonding jumpers, ground clamps, support brackets, and bend components. All components must be new, manufactured to UL standards, and designed for a maximum available fault current of 65 kA at 480VAC, 3-phase, 60Hz. The contractor is responsible for supply, packaging, and delivery, with the government handling installation. Post-award submittals including drawings and product data must be provided within 14 calendar days for government review, and final delivery documentation including installation guides and warranty information must accompany delivery. Equipment must be delivered FOB Destination to the USACE Dworshak Powerhouse in Ahsahka, Idaho no later than December 22, 2022, during normal operating hours (Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Pacific time, excluding federal holidays).
